Our Spring Parade features our first partnership with DeHaan Builders. The house plan fits beautifully on the narrow lot overlooking Spring Lake. The red windows, rich dark siding and cedar accents on the deep front porch make the first impression. There is a gorgeous screen porch on the back of the house that invites you to enjoy the views.

The open kitchen and informal dining room allow for large family gatherings. There is a large walk in pantry with a custom leaded transom and dark pocket doors. Adjoining the dining room is the great room, with a natural stone face and a hand hewn mantle. The sitting area is generous with deep sofas and a large leather ottoman. There is a main floor office and a fabulous laundry room with the barn door detail-the door was actually from the original house on the lot. Hickory flooring and slate tile grounds the areas and allows for easy care.

The owners retreat has entry to the porch and a pretty raised ceiling. The master bath features a hammered copper tub, separate vanities and a lovely walk-in shower.

To be able to work with someone who listens to what you want and is mindful of working within your budget, is a rarity. At the beginning of the process, Laura wanted to know our design style.
